Mailshell Domino Plugin - Configuration

To run the Mailshell Domino Plugin Manager, go to "Start->Programs->Mailshell Domino Plugin->Domino Plugin Manager".

Enable Domino Plugin

Check the "Enable Domino Plugin" check box to enable or disable the Mailshell Domino Plugin.

Spam Field Name

To change the name of the spam folder, enter the desired name in the "Spam Folder Name" textbox and click on the "OK" button.

Spam Header

The Domino plugin will look for the specified field to determine if an e-mail is spam. If this field is present, the message will be moved to the spam folder. By default, messages with the "X-SpamCatcher-Flag" field will be moved to the SpamCatcher folder.

Other gateway software will likely require a different "Spam Field" setting. The gateway's documentation should be consulted to determine the proper spam field setting.

Enable Logging

Check the "Enable Logging" check box to enable or disable logging by the Domino plugin.

Enable Automatic Cleanup of Spam Folder

Check the "Enable Automatic Cleanup of Spam Folder" check box to enable or disable automatic cleaning of the spam folder by the Domino plugin.

Server Settings

To change your server settings go to the Domino menu and select the "Server Settings" item.

Domino Directory

This is the directory where your Lotus Domino server is installed. You can find this directory by doing a search for nserver.exe.

Start->Search->For Files and Folders.

You should see something like:

To enable the Domino plugin, the Domino Plugin Manager needs to add the following entries to your notes.ini file.

EXTMGR_ADDINS=spm
SPAM_FolderName=SpamCatcher
SPAM_FieldName=X-SpamCatcher-Flag

Note: dashes "-" are converted to underscores "_" in the notes.ini file.
