Mailshell Domino Plugin - FAQ

1. Why are my spam messages not being moved to the spam folder?

Please check the following:
- The plugin in the Domino Plugin Manager is enabled.
- nspm.dll is in your Domino server directory.
- The Domino server was restarted after enabling the Mailshell Domino Plugin.

2. Where is my Domino server directory?

You can find it by doing a search for nserver.exe

Start > Search > For Files and Folders .... > Enter nserver.exe

3. Where is my notes.ini file?

You can find it by doing a search for notes.ini

Start > Search > For Files and Folders ... > Enter notes.ini

4. If the folder name is changed, will a new folder be created or will the previous folder be renamed?

A new folder will be created.

5. How do I specify what field to look for?

You can enter the field name  in the "Spam Field Name" textbox in the Domino Plugin Manager. Installation populates this entry with "X-SpamCatcher-Flag" as the default.

6. Which versions of Lotus Domino work with the Mailshell Domino Plugin?

We have tested the Mailshell Domino Plugin on Lotus Domino 4.5, 5.0, and 6.5. It may also work on other versions.

7. Where is the log? How do I change the location? Can I disable it?

You can do this from the Domino Plugin Manager. Click on the "Enable Logging" checkbox to enable it and the path to the log file in the "Log file" textbox. By default logging is disabled.

8. Does the email client matter at all?

No.

9. How much does this cost?

The Mailshell Domino Plugin software is unsupported freeware.

10. What if I have a question that isn't answered here?
