    GTA OEMs Mailshell
Global Technology Associates Inc. (GTA) introduced spam filtering in its GNAT Box OS firewall and VPN products, by integrating the Mailshell SDK featuring SpamCompiler technology. GTA's products now feature embedded spam filtering functionality within the firewall email proxy. A simple activation code allows customers to enable 'Powered by Mailshell' spam filtering without downloading any new software. Visit the GTA web site.

FTC Invites Mailshell to Outline Reputation-Based System
Mailshell was invited by the FTC to present a roadmap outlining Mailshell's techniques for quantifying reputation as a component of email authentication. Mailshell's SpamRepute Index is an advanced statistical analysis-based method of quantifying email senders' reputations, to identify 'phishing' and other fraud-based email. The FTC has posted a copy of Mailshell's presentation here.

Mailshell Server Plugins Integrate with Domino, Exchange
Mailshell introduced plugins for Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino to allow the creation of per-user spam folders. The plugins automatically move tagged messages into the spam folder. The plugins can be downloaded at no charge from Mailshell's web site and work with most SMTP-based spam filters. More information here.

Mailshell Supports Non-Profits with 2nd Annual Spam Solution Promo
TechSoup.org and Mailshell announced the second annual "Stop Spam Today!" campaign, a nationwide effort to help nonprofits fight spam by providing essential information, resources and tools. The campaign culminates on December 15 with a one-day giveaway in which nonprofits can visit www.stopspamtoday.org to order free licenses of Mailshell's Anti-Spam Desktop software. More than 75,000 copies of free anti-spam software were distributed at last year's "Stop Spam Today!" event. With up to 75% of all email considered to be spam today, TechSoup and Mailshell expect the numbers to dramatically increase this year. Visit the "Stop Spam Today!" web site.
